Blood is a vital tissue of our body that is used as drug as well as in different medical condition ranging from simple anaemia to leukemia. It's also important in patient who have sustained trauma and are undergoing surgery.

Dhawan Hospital's department of Transfusion Medicine has a well-equipped infrastructure to maintain quality standards to prevent blood transfusion adverse event in the recipient. We fulfill transfusion needs for the pre-surgical patient, anaemic patient, obstetric and antenatal and trauma cases. We maintain quality standards from the beginning of transfusion to monitoring and management of any adverse event.

Transfusion Medicine provides standard and specialised procedures for blood transfusion, compatibility testing for recipients, and diagnostic testing to evaluate immune hemolytic anemias, transfusion reactions and alloimmunisation to red cell, platelet, or white blood cell antigens.
